I've had this headache many times before. Microsoft Excel + Large/Complicated Spreadsheet + Slow network = All of the issues you have described. What is the size of the file? Speed of connection?
I think I saw a thread on this previously but I will look into this in more detail, thanks. I believe the GPO for this only applies if offline files are being used which are not used in this situation. Try to see if u have the settings active and remove it. My problem was from a settings from GPO "Files not cached" where i put *.tmpĪfter i change it to "Not configured" and my office can save on the network again
#MICROSOFT EXCEL WILL NOT OPEN ANY FILE MAC PRO#
I have windows 2008 server r2 and windows 7 pro station whit office 2010. Only one user at a time is trying to access the file/s and this happens with multiple files. How many users trying to use the same Excel sheet when it happens ? Is anybody able to help with this please? The version of office is Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2010 32-bit. They then open files from our file server which is another Windows Server 2008 Our users connect onto one of the Windows We run a terminal environment using Citrix with Windows Servers 2008 r2. I also found a hotfix here http:/ / / kb/ 983458/ en-gb but this doesn't apply to our server.
The only fixes that I have found for this are to save files on a local drive rather than the network which is not aįix. Then on occasions it will let the user save to their local desktop. The file menu normally freezes and the only way to get to the save button again is to add it as a xlsx document from a shared drive they occasionally get an error message when they try to save saying We currently have an intermittent issue with Excel 2010.
